- Lightly pickled cucumbers:
Boil the sugar and vinegar together with the peppercorns until the sugar has melted. - Cut the cucumber into sticks and the onions into slices. Put them in a jam jar. Pour the hot brine over the vegetables and add dill. Let the cucumbers marinate until ready to use, or refrigerate for a few days.
