G\u00e5rdenes k\u00f8er bliver malket to gange om dagen, om morgenen klokken seks og om aftenen efter klokken fem.<\/p>\n<p>Efter malkningen er det spisetid for k\u00f8erne. Om sommeren spiser de frisk enggr\u00e6s, og om vinteren f\u00e5r de h\u00f8. K\u00f8erne f\u00e5r ikke andet foder. Mange af m\u00e6lkeb\u00f8nderne tager om sommeren ud for at h\u00f8ste gr\u00e6s ved siden af pasning af kreaturerne. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Det er ikke helt sm\u00e5 m\u00e6ngder h\u00f8, vi har brug for, for hver ko spiser dagligt omtrent 70 kilo gr\u00e6s og drikker 50-100 liter vand&#8221;<\/strong>, fort\u00e6ller Alexandre Murith, der fremstiller Le Gruy\u00e8re AOP Alpage-bjergoste. Der er 29 k\u00f8er i stalden p\u00e5 hans g\u00e5rd i alperne.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Som tak producerer hvert dyr 20-25 liter m\u00e6lk om dagen. Bjergk\u00f8erne giver lidt mindre m\u00e6lk end deres s\u00f8stre nede i dalene, for k\u00f8erne her bev\u00e6ger sig mere, og dette p\u00e5virker m\u00e6lkeproduktionen. Til hvert kilo ost g\u00e5r der 10 kilo m\u00e6lk, hvilket kan ses p\u00e5 ostens pris. P\u00e5 ladet af traktoren st\u00e5r fire traditionelle 50-liters m\u00e6lkejunger. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;Osteriets g\u00e5rd er et godt sted at snakke med kolleger i, mens jeg venter p\u00e5 min tur ved m\u00e6lkepumpen.
